Stiff and Trevillion is a renowned West London architectural practice and they wanted to transition become a state-of-the-art BIM [Building Information Modelling] practice to further improve on their collaboration and project deliver capacity. So, they partnered with DDC Solutions.

CHALLENGES

Stiff & Trevillion has immense success in elegant and sophisticated architecture. However, when it came to transitioning to and adopting BIM in 2017, they faced numerous challenges. These challenges included

1. The need for a BIM Manager to guide them in their BIM journey.

2. Coordination of Revit development with existing Vectorworks standards.

3. Training and support for the newly formed Revit teams and projects.

4. Adherence to evolving ISO 19650 standards.

5. Preparation for emerging standards, especially those related to the Golden Thread for Fire and Structural Safety.

To overcome aforesaid challenges, we introduced a unique approach. DDC Solutions strategically joined Stiff & Trevillion as their in-house BIM Manager Consultant. The collaborative effort between Stiff & Trevillion and DDC Solutions resulted in significant accomplishments within the first 6 months

Revit development and implementation was coordinated with the current Vectorworks standards to ensure that the two platforms were coordinated to one standard.
Full training and support of the new Revit teams and projects
Updates and adjustments to meet the pending ISO 19650 standards
Preparations for pending standards that are now falling under the Golden Thread for Fire and Structural Safety
